Asakusa
Asakusa has it’s own subway stop in northeast Tokyo. Full of tourists, like us. But still a good place to visit.

–
Most of the local street food eateries specialize in tempura dishes. This doesn’t look like much, but it’s pretty good tempura with a teriyaki sauce on stop.

–
The shop next door specialized blowfish (fugu) sushi. If not prepared properly, it could kill you. We didn’t try it. I’ll probably try it some other time when I can get a recommendation of where to eat.

–
It’s packed here, just like a Taiwan night market.

–
I’m all about the Japanese maple trees.

–
Not the main shrine, but the side shrine.

Lots of fried tempura for you guys, eh? Where is this place? Is it around where you live?
We’re living in Roppongi right now. So that’s the middle of Tokyo. Asakusa takes about a 15 min subway ride? Probably more like 30 min with the walking door to door. Our future apt will be near Shibuya, so that’s southwest Tokyo.
