It’s expensive here
So, we all know that it’s expensive in Japan, especially in Tokyo. But how expensive is it?
Here’s some examples.

$23 worth of groceries. Eggs are sold in 10 egg holders. That’s 2 less eggs than in the US! But why did I think that a 10 egg holder was weird? Maybe it’s just because the “dozen” and “baker’s dozen” system is really kinda backwards?

We’re looking at renting furniture for our future apartment. Sadly, my toolbox is being shipped over from the US right now, so therefore we really need a tape measure right now.
$23 tape measure (2,280 yen). 5.5 meters = 18.04 feet. Which means, that I paid over $1 per foot on this stupid thing. This tape measure will probably be with me for life. Yes, I will keep it until I die.

Diana decided to buy her favorite Japanese cookies. There were $20 bucks. grrrr….

Thank you for reading today. If you thought this blog was interesting, we accept donations =-).

Now I understand why everyone in Japan is skinny! It’s not because they want to, it’s because they can’t afford to eat! hahaha! Maybe you’ll be below 150 the next time we meet! =)
Haha, sorry dude. Not to rub salt in the wound, but you are missing out on some awesomely low gas prices over here. Anyway, cool blog! Looking forward to more.
