Random things in the grocery
–
Snap into a cheese fish stick? This is cheese wrapped inside a fish cake. I can’t imagine eating this. It’s like watching a chef put fish in the ice cream machine on Iron Chef.

–
Crunky.

–
Well arranged cherries. It’s cherry season in Japan, and also in the US. US cherries are 98 yen for every 100grams. The Japan-grown cherries are 398 yen per 100 grams. For all you non-metric folk out there, 1 pound = 453 grams. So these cherries, while well arranged cost 4000 yen. About $40.

–
Kiwis in Japan are sold in baskets. I don’t get it. Nor do I understand the “kiwi cleaning cloth” that’s in the basket.

–
I actually found some large watermelons in Japan. This grocery store in Tokyo also has a built in parking lot, so it’s possible to take something this large home. Don’t get fooled by the 498 yen sign there. That’s for the pack of strawberries above. Each watermelon is closer to 1700 yen. Each is well wrapped in a bag that you can use to carry the watermelon.

–
The wall of instant ramen. It’s a requirement for all azn restaurants.

–
Baby cheese. It’s in the same aisle as the sliced cheese.

–
Straight beer. It can only be drank by straight people… Not to be confused with G-Y beer? haha

Dude, you have way too much time on your hands!
