Rediscovering the food deal
The lunch deal is definitely the best deal in Tokyo. You can get great food at a great price. However, in the land of $10 imported beer (at the bar), Tokyo, there are some great food deals to be had. I once was enamored by the good lunch deal at the local resturants, but lately I’m into searching for the best set lunch or rice bowl meal around my area.
Let’s start with… the 100 yen drink machine. Thank you Asahi. Yes, they also make drinks. Most drink machines start from 120 to 180. It also includes Calpis soda which is 150 at the other machines. And as of this month, I’m a Calpis (or pronounced Calu Piss, which sounds like… ok whatever.) soda fan.

Sushi (chirashi, or scattered/deconstructed) bowl from Maguro Ichiba. A small booth sushi place with well priced sushi bowls for a great price. Diana had this one.

Maguro (tuna) and toro (fatty tuna). I had this one. Toro only bowls are 630 yen at this place.

Well.. this isn’t lunch, but currently our favorite breakfast food. It’s Hokkaido milk bread. It’s got a great milky taste and it’s fresh baked at nearby bakery.

Ahhh! So jealous of all the food you’re eating!! I can’t wait to go back, September, yay! Hope you guys are having fun!
