Samba Carnival in Tokyo

While Henry was at ultimate practice, I went to one of the most traditional, old neighborhoods in Tokyo – Asakusa – to see the annual Samba Carnival.  All I can say is – Henry missed out!  It was quite a colorful and entertaining festival with music, floats, costumes and pole dancing!

It took me about 30 minutes to get to the front of the crowd (which was full of men with cameras).  Strange to think this same street held the traditional Japanese Sanja Matsuri with mikoshi and all.  Lots more pictures in the album.

Hmmm…..I can see why the front of the line was full of men with cameras. =)
