Yokohama Oktoberfest

Compared to the other Oktoberfest that we went to at the New Sanno Hotel, this Oktoberfest was very festive.  We were there on the first day so it was crowded but awesome.  Mike’s friends got us in with their passes, so we avoided a long line and the door fee.

We had some good imported German beer for a relatively high cost per 0.5L glass.  There was an interesting system of the 1000 yen deposit for the glass, so we had to run back for the deposit.  We started with this amazing Japan craft beer (German style) by Fujizakura (富士桜).  As for the other German beers, they were very good, I’m having a hard time remembering what we drank, haha.  I know we didn’t drink Hofbrau, nor did we drink the BitBurger, because according to Doug, it’s the Bud of Germany.

I don’t know why, but asian girls in lederhosen makes me laugh.  This was at the Paulander stand.
