L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon
We had lunch at the two Michelin-starred casual restaurant of Joel Robuchon in Roppongi Hills. There were several set menu options to choose from including the chef’s tasting menu. We had smoked salmon and endive appetizer, foie gras ravioli appetizer, chicken and fish main dishes and chocolate ice cream and mousse and kumquat and other fruit mousse for dessert. I wasn’t expecting the foie gras ravioli to be in soup but the soup helped melt the foie gras so it was a creamy flavorful explosion in your mouth. The soup was also very rich. The complimentary basket of fresh baked bread was a nice touch, too.

The decor was also very bold, mostly dark colors with red accents and colorful ingredients. The service was great and we left very satisfied. We stopped by the attached bakery for some yummy baked goods to go.
